| New XTR Tubeless Wheels question | AZflightnurse Jun 10, 2003 10:30 AM | | Anybody riding these. MTB action said there great and pretty stiff. I got a set a noticed something odd. I don't know much about flex so if someone can enlighten me that would be great. When I'm riding on these wheels my XTR disc brakes squeel when I lean the bike to the left or on harder left turns. Even in the parking lot when I put my weight on the left peddle and lean the bike it can squeel some also. Do you think this is flex or a caliper alignment issue. Thanks Scott |

Play in the hub
May not have the skewer clamped down properly
May be lateral movement of the hub along the skewer body
The spoke tension should have very little to do with any sort of brake squeal
Disc allignment should not change with turning it should remain a static lateral distance from the XTR caliper body.
If it is the hub, you will probably have difficulty correcting that let a shop do it...
If it is as simple as the XTR caliper body not having been tightened down properly that is an easy fix...just tighted it
Still if were you and not a mechanic I would take it to a shop to have them examine the set. Seemingly little errors in operation can many times be indicative of much larger problems...Especially with expensive equiptment
Peace out,
