wheel lacing question(3 posts)

wheel lacing questionFuFuTripleshot

I'm not sure where I went wrong. At first I thought the guy at the bike shop miscalculated the spoke lengths, but I've verified it through some online spoke length calculators. I have the wheel laced up and all the spokes threaded completely through the nipples at this point and I can still shuffle the hub up and down.

The spokes are the right length for the three cross pattern I have them laced with (or so I think) here's the info if you're smart and bored :)

atomlab aircorps (540 ERD)
Shimano XT disc (HB M755)

My spokes are 258 and 260 mm.

Is that right? Any ideas where I went wrong?
Are you sure...Hardtailforever

Are you sure you did 3-cross and not 2-cross?
Good call :)FuFuTripleshot

I must have misread the lacing instructions somewhere along the line but I ended up with 2 cross.

*this is where somebody less bullheaded would admit to being in over his head and let a bike shop handle it*
