WTB LaserLite Disc--opinions?(3 posts)

I was poking around on oddsandendos and noticed that he's selling these WTB LaserLite Disc wheels...so I checked the reviews:

The reviewers trashed these wheels! What is the deal? Are the ones reviewed a different or older design? Are the current ones reliable? I'd rather have something which was solid than save a few grams any day...

That's not the same hub. The link you posted is a complete prebuilt wheelset that uses a very different hub than the Laser-Disc Lite. The Laser-Disc Lite hubs are rebadged American Classic Ultralight's. Reviews are a little mixed on those too, but they've gone through several revisions and the current version seems to be holding up well and is reliable. Mike's a great builder and nice guy too.

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things about him, so I thought that the reviews may have been of something else...Thanks!
