In the Tire Specs in your website, there's a column for "Directional Tread" [Yes or No]. What does this mean? If it says "Yes" does that mean the tire can be mounted in two different directions and give different ride characteristics?

It means the tread is designed to work in one rotating direction. Many can be - and are - marked to be run in opposite directions for front and rear use. Some are design only for front or only for rear use and are marked with one rotating direction. Some are marked for "hard surface" and "soft surface" directions.

Personally I run most tires in the "front" direction on both wheels. Cornering and braking traction is more important to me than drive traction in most cases.

Yes, the way the tires react does (in most cases) change with the rotation direction. You need to try them both ways to see if it makes a difference for you and then decide which way you like better.
