| universal cycles | Sylvestre Jul 24, 2002 6:54 AM | | Just wanted to give some feedback for universal cycles. Bought a front shock there few months ago. Recieved it about 5 weeks later (located in Canada so that's typical). Came packaged very securely and installed no probs. Ridden at least 5 or 6 times with new shocks and no probs at all. Everything working great.
Just wanted to say I'm very happy with the purchase and will be shopping there again.

| wait until you have a problem | rich Jul 29, 2002 6:57 AM | | then Universal Cycles will show you their true colors.I've read alot of posts about people who had bad experiences with universalcycles, but I made the same mistake you are in the process of making and continued to buy from them until I bought a wheelset that had a defective rear hub.The hub wasn't engaging from the day I put it on my bike so I called the manager of universalcycles(Mike Dolittle)and he said to send it back and they would take care of it.Well after just about 3 months and not having a rear wheel(an entire summer) and lie after lie telling me it was shipped yesterday or it's going out today, they even went as far as to give me phony tracking numbers that don't even exist. It was then I learned NEVER TO BUY FROM UNIVERSALCYCLES AGAIN and I hope you will learn before it's too late.. |
| re: universal cycles | boyd Jul 31, 2002 12:29 PM | | I couldn't agree more. Both guys I dealt with there were absolutely useless. I'd never deal with them again, having wasted weeks waiting for parts they said they'd ordered but hadn't, and never receiving any return mails when I chased them.
I haven't read anything positive about them either. A miracle they still exist! |
