the best thing to do is get a TNT headset reducer pressed into the frame, then use 1 1/8 everything and you will have the selection on fork/headset/stem to actually save money and get what you want. |

Jul 30, 2002 12:19 PM | | after posting that a while back while working on my gf's bike I talked to a few folks at the shops who recommended to NOT use the headset reducers due to poor manufacturing of the reducers (i.e. poor milling of the diameters and cups) and increased risk of severe (especially in the headset area) failure and injury. Just a little thought that might hinder or help...
I suppose though if you could find a 1.25" steering tube you would be just fine. Good luck. |
