| Jenson USA - Good Prices on Shimano Comp. Any Probs? | Zag Aug 6, 2002 9:27 AM | | It looks like Jenson USA has the best prices overall on Shimano components. I am thinking about ordering the full 9spd drivetrain. Are there any problems I should be aware of such as Jenson selling OEM take offs or shipping parts without boxes, manuals, etc.? |
| Jenson is very good | String Aug 6, 2002 11:18 AM | | I have order many times from Jenson with out any problems.
They will mark OEM equipment as such and typically price it lower.
They do however usually ship their products in a sealed bag with out manuals. I think they buy their parts like a bike manufacturer which allows them to get good prices but you the consumer don't get the box or manual.
I have had them fax me a copy of the manual before when I needed one. Most of the Shimano drivetrain parts are on the same instruction sheet, but don't expect alot of help from the instructions as they are not the most informative. |
| Jenson rocks | zazen Aug 6, 2002 5:56 PM | | Never had anything but good surprises with jenson:
The first one was awsome but I can't really describe it here.
The second one: I ordered a custom wheelset (they build for free) on a wednesday morning and got them for the week-end ! |
