TheMountainbikeShop.com - experiences?rpet

They have great prices on wheels & other stuff. I'm thinking of dropping lots of $$$. Has anyone purchased from them? Are they smooth/professional?
I don't mind the paypal if I can save that much over jensonusa, etc.

thanks guys.

I dont know why that 1st reply was removed. That is strange.

Yeah, the prices at this site are a little too good to be true; I'd be saving $100+ on a $500 order if I go with them over Jensonusa. I'm not sure if it's worse the potential trouble.

I was told last week via e-mail that they were moving shop and a good day to order would be the 6th of this month.

I had a great first time experience with this guy! you have to wait for him to take shippment of more than just your order witch might take a week but to me the price was right. you have to be lucky that he has what you are looking for because he doesnt have everything.
I bought xtrafirm bomber springs and a dhpigpro headset for what my lbs was charging for one of these items! I felt shipping/insurace charge was a little pricey for my small order but if you are looking for a wheelset built around shimano hubs you will not ever ever beat his prices. also it seemed to me that this is a one man show so he might be unavailable right now but I have talked to this guy before and he seemed very nice and have also got same day emails from him about a month ago.
I guess if he doesn't have it...Milkman

he doesn't respond...maybe. I can say for sure that after three emails over three weeks, I've had no reply and I don't even wanna go into how many times I tried to call. Jenson here I come!

I place an order with them a few weeks back. I got a response quickly and they sent me a paypal invoice. I paid and commenced the waiting. I waited and waited and waited and waited.

I e-mailed them several times to get the status of my order but no body ever responded to my e-mails, which I find unusual since they responded quickly when I was sending money.

After several fruitless attempts, I placed a complaint with paypal and got my money back after the 10 day turnaround for a paypal investigation.

Maybe all their systems are down and no body is checking the mail. It would seem to be a bad business practice though. It's too bad because the prices are great.
