Anyone try the $50 Time Snake ATB Shoe from performanceteamsloppy

Performance.com has a $50 Time ATB shoe named "Snake" that looks just like last year's $190 Time "Scolop".

Any experience with either?

How "sticky" is the tread rubber (i.e wet rocks)?
How tight can you "lace" the laces?
How similar is the sizing to Time road shoes?
Any performance increase in using it with the ATAC pedal compared to any other SPD shoes (i.e. Shimano, Sidi, Diadora)?
Is it worth it?
How obnoxious is the color and ridicule from friends?

BTW, nashbar.com has the Scolop for $170
