| Best deal on Santa Cruz Blur or Intense Spider | Denis Jan 6, 2004 9:35 PM | | Anyone can recommend a good place to get either a Santa Cruz Blur or Intense Spider for a good price?
I am looking for either a frameset or even a full build depending on the price.
Txs.

| re: Best deal on Santa Cruz Blur | nwmtb Jan 6, 2004 10:16 PM | | Hey there Denis, mind if i step in and recommend myself and my shop as a great place to get you into a blur. My prices are better than competitive. give me a holler at devalls3@aol.com |
| references? | dan K Jan 6, 2004 10:59 PM | | I've seen your posts, and it seems you are competitive in terms of deals. Would you mind if I ask personal info such as...
do you have references, espcially from mtbr buyers?
are you a store in the northwest or just a mailorder company?
do you have contact info other than phone, and what forms of payment do you accept?
I'm not being harsh, just curious and wondering for I'm sure many others are. Thanks for your time, and hopefully we'll do business sometime soon. |
| references? | nwmtb Jan 7, 2004 9:20 AM | | Dan... i understand the skepticism, which has pushed me into the beginning stages of developing a website to bring a bit more security to the buyer. I run a small shop up here in MT, it's very cold, biz is slow so i spend my free time trying to establish a few contacts over the computer. As for my references..i've sold a few thing through this forum (not much), but i'm sure someone will voice their opinion of me. I always side on the favor of the customer, and go to great lengths to take care of the ones i do have. feel free to get hold of me through e-mail if you would like some more info. about me or my shop. devalls3@aol.com , thanks !! |
| How about: name of your shop, phone number, etc?!?! | Sultan of Singletrack Jan 8, 2004 10:55 AM | | The others who sell on this forum offer at least their shop name and phone number: see Larry Mettler, Charles Coker, etc.
As far as I'm concerned, doing stuff through email is bs. If you want my business, you better come up with a damn good reference if I'm going to give you money over the web.
None of this "I can get you..." stuff. Show me a web site and/or a verifiable company phone.
Just my 2 cents. |
| just doin' biz | nwmtb Jan 8, 2004 12:23 PM | | Sultan... good points, i understand your personal opinion of my means of operation...i truely do, hopefully i'll be able to have a site up and running soon which might answer any questions you may have about me or my agenda. BUT in the mean time if you would like a quicker answer feel free to e-mail me and i can point you in the direction of a reputable bike shop and a tellie. And if you feel more comfortable with doing business with folks like Larry, or Charlie i don't blame you they run great business's. Have a good one ! |
| I have to sound like a mindless MBA..... | Jaybo Jan 12, 2004 11:15 AM | | But you have to build brand when you are trying to get an online business going. People are not going to send you 1k plus for a frame unless they feel a sense of trust regardless of price (well, a resonable person would not do so).
Just my .02.

| trust...... | nwmtb Jan 12, 2004 8:27 PM | | The real topic that i think you are asking me about is trust, trust is a trait that doesn't come easy. It comes with time, hard work, excellent service, and alot of happy customers. I admit internet sales are relatively new to me, but the world of bicycle retail is not. I've worked and played in the industry for over 15 yrs. No, I don't expect anyone to lay down their hard earned cash without first instilling some amount of trust, and that is exactly where my credentials and emmaculate referrals come in to play. I welcome any personal inquiries about me or my past...as a matter of fact, I encourage it ! And who knows I might even save you a buck or two. devalls3@aol.com |
